A windy day is ahead this Thursday across South Florida following a fall front that crossed through Wednesday morning, with an expansive area of high pressure building in across the eastern US.This will place South Florida in the windy zone today. That northeast wind will drive in gusts up to 35-40 mph along the coast, so a Wind Advisory remains in effect for metro and coastal Miami-Dade and Broward Counties through this evening. As far as our forecast is concerned, the cooler air mass in place to our north along with the onshore winds will drive in generally cloudy skies today along with the occasional passing shower. High temperatures will struggle to hit 80F as a result, which is below average. The cooling effects of this front will be minimal and short-lived, however, with temperatures gradually warming up over the next few days. By early next week, lighter winds out of the east along with more sunshine will lead to a return of above average high temperatures in the mid to upper 8...Turkey prices have dropped by a lot as Thanksgiving planning ramps up

New York (CNN) — Something wild has happened with turkey prices that’s going to make the cost of cooking the Thanksgiving meal more palatable to families on a tight budget.“There’s been a big collapse in retail prices for turkey,” said Michael Swanson, chief agriculture economist with Wells Fargo Agri-Food Institute.“Because turkey prices are down so much, and that’s the centerpiece of the meal, celebrating Thanksgiving at home will be more advantageous this year for families,” he said.Store prices for the 10-to 15-pound turkey, typically the star of the holiday dinner, have dropped 13% in October compared to the same month last year, said Swanson. The decrease in shelf prices for the bird also coincides with an even more dramatic 29% slump in the wholesale price for turkey this October versus a year ago, according to Wells Fargo’s new Thanksgiving food report, which was released Wednesday. The annual report analyzes the outlook for key grocery items – such as turkey, cranberries, and...1 airlifted after car fire in Miami Gardens leaves 1 dead

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday signed a law effectively revoking Russia’s ratification of a key nuclear treaty, opening up the possibility the Kremlin could conduct new atomic weapons testing. Putin previously said revoking Russia’s 2000 ratification of the 1996 Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty (CNTBT) is a move that would merely “mirror” the position taken by the United States, which has signed but never ratified the treaty. The revocation was approved unanimously by the lower and upper houses of Russia’s parliament last month, before being sent to Putin for final approval. He signed it on Thursday, Russian state news agencies reported.Russian officials have said that exiting the treaty does not mean the Kremlin will resume nuclear testing and that it would only consider doing so if the U.S. decides to do the same, but Moscow’s decision raised some concerns among analysts.Putin also said in October that he was “not ready” to discuss whether...Australian police accuse lunch host of murdering 3 guests with poisonous mushrooms
